ok lets keep this simple. AND I DID SEARCH AND DIDNT FIND ANYTHING. i dont kno if i just didnt look good enough or was to damn impatiant to keep searching. i have a 96 civic with a y8. after 185,000 miles of being beat on it finally blew up. sent a rod through the side of the block. ok so anyways. i have been givin a 1.5 out a an eg for pretty much nothing. good strong runnin engine. plans are are to put my y8 head on the 1.5 block. but i have two questions to do this. which timing belt and which head gasket do i need to do the swap? any other things you wanna throw in there will help out to. thanks any help will be appreciated. especially since plans were to drive my car 4 hours this weekend (5 days from now, 8 hours total) to a huge car show! please no smaart *** remarks. like i said i ddi search and still are kinda aggravated from my car blowin up.

You'll likely want to get some ARP bolts, and may have to contact the company to mix/match if you need different types. I know with Z6/Y8 combo you need 9 from one block/head, the other from the other type. I'll see if I can find specifics.

Also, sup thrown rod buddy? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=35iyf68&s=5

I'm running the exact same set up now. the D15 block and Y8 Head.

You need to use i think it is 9 head bolts from a d15b7 head and only 1 of your d16y8 head bolts the one where the y8 head bolt goes is right by the V tec Solynoid.

Also, Run the y8 head gasket and y8 timing belt. Good Luck and i hope you have it finished in 8 days. work ur *** off. any questions PM me. I just Did mine.
