Icon6 94 LS Dead Engine Issue

Engine type: B18B USD
Car Type: 1994 Acura Integra LS Hatch
Issue: Possible RIP Engine / Rod Bearing Broke

First off, thanks for looking at the thread, any input is very much welcomed.

The car has always had smoke issues, GF wasn't much concerned with fixing the problem. Shop advised her dad that it seemed like a Piston issue at the time (months ago). Well about a couple weeks ago I go to shift in 1st from a dead stop and press the gas & the car revs to like 7K, but it wouldn't stop revving.

So I pulled over; turned the car off & let it sit for a few minutes. I was able to make it home(less than 2 mins. away) where I parked the car. Next day I go to start it to see whats up and hear this knocking noise...

I knew than, whatever happened didn't seem good & a friend suggested a piston issue. Well here I am couple weeks later with the motor out & seeing all kinds of hell done to this car.

Below are pictures of the damage it seems, I'm wondering if I can even salvage what has been done in terms of damage. Btw, this was my first honda engine pull/engine breakdown & my goodness it seems easy minus the harness.

As you can see:

Pic#1: Shows the bearing along with the piston/connecting rod it was attached to.
Pic(s)#2-5: Show the damage to the crankshaft; I'm wondering if the rod basically killed the crankshaft. You can clearly see that it looks no where near like the others.

I'm just wondering what exactly my options are if any?

1) Junk the engine; sell what parts I can
2) Replace the rod bearing/pistons & rebuild it
3) Buy a whole new engine & move on.

Once again, thanks for the advice & input everyone

...or a JDM B18B shipped to your door for $500 - $1,000. Even a B20 would be a reasonable idea. What issues did you have with the harness? Good luck!

Well thanks for the input guys, I figured it might be done when I pulled the Crank out. Now I guess the hard part is waiting on HMO.com to get B18 motors back in stock.
