Yes, it should. The EM1 subframe is like any other 96-00 non-R subframe. I suggest, if you are getting it, to upgrade the rear sway to offset the large 26mm front sway.

well for right now due to funds, i am just going with the asr brace to strengthen/stiffen the weak sheet metal subframe and use the stock 13mm sway bar. but the reason im going with the asr brace over a tie bar now is because in the future I will be able to just mount up a larger diameter sway bar.

ive done some searching, and found that i will need to order the energy suspensions universal swaybarbushing/D bracket because the factory si bracket is a bit to small to fit the asr subframe brace (the top and bottom holes wont line up on the D bracket of the bushing). can anyone back this up? thanks again

why don't you wait til you have enough money and buy the asr kit all in one shot. its cheaper that way. If you're just going to buy it piece by piece, you'll end up spending more. There's no reason why you even need the brace right now unless you're trying to impress people driving behind you or something.

Aint nothing wrong with going at your own pace and doing what you want to with regards to tuning your vehicle. Yes, the ASR subframe brace was designed for ITR/CTR D-brackets. I made my own. [p] [/p] [p] [/p] [p] [/p] [p] [/p] [p] [/p]

thanks for the help. good job on the finished product! looks great. i was thinking about doing this also or buying the $15 energy bushings/Dbrackets w/ the grease zerts. i am thinking i may be able to drill these bushings out to a 24mm in the future if i decide to run a 24mm bar.

and the reason i am wanting to do this in steps is because at the moment i like how my car handles...but instead of buying a tie bar...I'd rather buy something that does the same thing and also give me the option to run larger sway bar in the future.

I never said there was anything wrong with what he wants to do. I merely made a suggestion since he said money is tight right now.
