HELP before Tune
See previous thread "ECU Woes" for other info.
Specs:
EM1
b16 block (stock)
b18 head (gsr) w/cams
Usual bolt-ons
About 1100 miles on brand new motor.
So I'm heading off to a shop in Tampa to have my car tuned on Monday (over 3 hours away ugh!). I contacted John through Phearable.net tonight to run over some last minute kinks before I get down there.
Basically, I'm still getting an erratic idle with my Crome ECU once warm and the Hondata s100 won't even keep the car at an idle it can function at. In short, both ECU's have somehow gotten worse with time and I am totally perplexed as to what the cause could be. So I am trying to figure out if it is the ECU map or my IACV that is causing the issue.
Here's what I did so far:
Timing correct
Pulled IACV sensor and car died
Cleaned IACV, but still same issue
Switched to Hondata ECU and won't even hold an idle
No check engine lights on
John said that he is pretty sure its in the Tune and I know you guys really can't diagnose too much from the internet, but I just don't want to drive down there and be screwed when I could have prevented it all along. Sorely pissed right now, so any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
