Default Wet floor

So my floor got soaked im not sure how yet but anyway i ripped up the old carpet due to the smell was very bad and found that it was the partiles of cloth string padding under the carpeting so i ripped it out i hope it drys the rest of the way and doesnt smell anymore but whta is that there for in the first place was it bad i ripped it out

Basically the carpet was ok but the stuff that was under it smelled so i ripped it off the carpet it looked kinda like this is think http://www.owencarpet.com/synthetic_carpet_pad.htm

Probably your heater core has a leak or water is going thru some window or glass when you wash your car or when it rains.

if you park on the street next to the curb and it rains alot it can get the floor wet.

Steam cleaner?

Also like said above, if it happened while it was dry out, then its probbably heater core. If it happens when it rains, then its drain tubes or broken seals, I'm sure someone will eventually figure it out, IF you can narrow it down abit.

Sorry I cant help more. I know a few leaks in the del Sol, but I can't help with other Civics.

If its coolant or water, after you fix the leak, just open the windows for a few day's, the car will dry out and the smell will be gone. It is that simple...

Fixed it was some hose under the carpet that connected to some black box haha i dunno the terms
