the car is a 1994 honda civic si coupe

Rpm Gaz Temp Work fine. i have changed the vss in the transmission for a brand new one nothing work.

one of my friend told me to rewire the vss wire from the transmission to the ecu
i have wired it up like this one to the ecu blue and yellow/ ground i hooked it up to the transmission ground. and power to the fuse box.


anyone know how i can fix this ?

Does the check engine light come on/stay on?

Is your car throwing a check engine code 17 for vehicle speed sensor?

If the check engine light isn't on, or if you have no code 17 then the actual speedometer cluster/meter set isn't working.

 

Definitely check for CEL code 17. Are the odometer and tripmeter working? If not, you may have problems with the VSS wires or connector.

I would first check the plug at the VSS. Have seen plenty of them corrode and one of the pins in the plug physically brake off inside the plug. Unplug the VSS, look inside the plug on the VSS and make sure there are 3 pins present. Then take the plug with the wires and turn it upside down so you can see inside it. Make sure there are 3 CLEAN pins there.

 

i did that checked the plug redid the wire even made a direct link from the ecu b10 to the cluster still dont work and i still get code 17.

im gonna trying chaning cluster again ... ( btw befor the guy that was the owner of that car ) had anti thief system in it and he cut everything. i got a switch on off where is the fuse box. and on the cruse control modul i have a stiker there that say turn the switch off befor working under the hood. ?

can it be the cruise control modul that make the speedo not working ?

because when i turn on cruise control and try to set it nothing work i dont get any cruise light in cluster ?
