Some eBay cats are pretty much resonators. They just look like cats to fool police. They dont have the metals that cats have to reduce emmissions.
If you want to pass emmissions, get a legit cat. At least and OBD0 or OBD1 cat.

It has the honey comb in it so I can only assume it's a functional cat. However, I don't plan on smogging my car with this cat on. I just got it because I don't want cops to smell fumes or check under my car to find I don't have a cat.

illinois..straight pipe turbo, how often does CA require you to get tested? can you just switch stuff out afterwards? do cops check under cars alot like the army in iraq
i beleave every 2 years depending on smog history but there hard on hondas everyone i know with a honda gets cheaked all the time but my moms lancer hasnt been cheaked since the day she got it lolca is craxy with smog they make it almost impossible im suprised my civic past in the condition it was in when i got it lol but i love my car and i can twait till its compleate but i wouldnt trust the ebay cats its not worth the risk
