need advise first time to the track.
So tomorrow we're hitting the track with my friends 630hp gsr. we have little to no experience when it comes to launching on slicks. They are 24.5 X 8 X 13". Any advise to what PSI yall run, and what you're launching at would be helpful and appreciated.
Start out at 8psi. Get used to how the slicks are first. If its spinning at 1st gear, lower the tire pressure 1/2 psi at a time until you find that sweet spot where its hooking just right. Takes practice to figure out whats best for your car, the track and your driving style.
As far as launch, try it at 8K. Each car/setup can be different a few hundred RPM. It also depends if you have a 2step or not. Where the RPM drops to, when you shift. How the slicks hook on the launch.
You'll figure all that out once you get some decent runs in and get used to how the car reacts and what it likes.
Good luck.

Short shift it. Shift a few hundred RPM less than you usually do. Run slower times and focus on your launches this time out. Waste of time to get kicked out when you can be working on your launches with the slicks.
I would do the same thing Exospeed said, practice on your launching techniques and mess around with the tire pressure and 2step instead of going all out and trying to run some numbers and get kicked out without having any experience.
