Default Help! 1995 integra tranny fluid leak

so i installed my new clutch and components and replaced both drive shaft seals on the tranny. both were from autozone.

Everything on the passenger side is perfect. No leaks all tight, perfect.

But the driver side on the other hand is leaking... Keep in mind both oil seals are new..
But Where the intermediate shaft goes,, the little cup on the end before the turning fork that inserts in the tranny keeps coming off and opening abit. the intermediate shaft slides a tad bit enough to not keep it tight to the tranny.

Wondering if i need new intermediate shaft?

It isnt flooding out or gushing its just like dripping alot and sprays on the shifter linkage etc.

It is NOT excess from the fillup..

But upon putting the driver side oil seal in tho I think this one went a little in past the surface, meaning it isnt flush. maybe its too far pushed in? could this do it?

probably is the seal, but I have seen the intermediate shaft have a wear groove that just would not seal. Had to replace the intermediate shaft. Rare but a possibility. Probably just the seal got buggered up. Good luck.

sup man the seal is fine i took it all off today, but the little seal on the intermediate shaft that encloses around the fork/tranny when its inserted is bent a little from me prying on it taking it off. is this what you mean? and Replacing this would fix it ?

also how do i take it apart from the rest of the axle

THe seal is fine? DId you go ahead and replace it anyway? Should have. The ring that covers the seal up you mean? Replace the seal one time bc it is cheap and if it still leaks then you will need the intermediate shaft like the weird time I did. While you are replacing the seal you could inspect the intermediate shaft for a groove in it where the seal rides. The way I separate the axle from the intermediate shaft is by using a chisel and 3lb hammer. After getiing everything ready for axle removal, but leaving at least 1 bolt in the intermediate shaft then strike the axle inner joint housing on the backside towards the drivers side of the car. Usually one decent lick will separate it enough to pry the rest of the way. And if you are decent with a hammer you might not even need the chisel

the seal is fine but i replaced it anyway with oem honda one.

the problem is the cap on the intermediate shaft is loose.

it likes to move and leave a gap and allwo spraying/leaking. also its bent.

does this snap on to the tranny could i straighten it back out and snap it on the tranny somehow ?

or seal it somehow.

when iwas removing it i put the prybar between the tranny and that ring lip. it bent it abit

That cap doesnt stop leakage. Its a dust seal to prevent grime from getting to sealing surfaces. Is that bent enough to gouge the seal ? Sounds like you intermediate shaft is grooved whre the seal rode for 15 years aka you need a new/different intermediate shaft. good luck post results

well upon inspection it was bent and warped so it wouldnt close around the tranny therefore leavinggaps. ima go ahead and change seal again to oem from honda instead of autozone one and seel if both the new seals stop the leak if not then ill replace my shaft and while im down there ill just do the axle too.
