Default GSR swap harness question

Currently putting my 94 gsr into a 93 civic dx chassis. I was planning on using the GSR harness considering OBD1 should be pnp, or so I've been told.

Anyway, I installed the harness, and 2 of the 3 shock tower plugs matched up. The third plugged in no problem, but not all of the wire colors match on the chassis side.

Anyone know if the GSR harness is PNP for the civic DX chassis? I already wired the VTEC, IAB's, and EVAP at the ecu.

i dont think it'll be a problem. i know some of the wire colors for a few wires were different for tegs and civics. if you have no problems then you're cool

kinda paranoid about cranking it over and burning some sensors because I didn't know that I had to rewire something. Want to be sure. I know the engine works good, it came out of my teg.

Another thing I noticed was that the MAP sensor is not part of the engine harness, it splices off from the chasiss harness, and runs along the firewall to the map sensor which is bolted to the fuel filter. I'm guessing I will have to plug that connector to my MAP sensor, but thats another thing that is throwing me off, makes me think other things will need to be wired as well.

yes that should plug into your map. there arent too many differences w/the motor's sensor location in relation to the harness, whether using the gsr's or civic's. had to use some of the civic's so i extended a few wires. i didnt marked any wire or plug locations but figured it out in no time where everything should go

Yeah, I wouldn't think there'd be a difference of wire locations considering the ECU's are the same for the ODB-1's, but the color difference at the harness shock tower is dirving me nuts. Oh well, guess I just gotta crank it over and see what I get! I'm sure everything will be all g.

Here's some camera phone teaser pics of my ls/v turbo swap so far:

motor was running nce in my DC4, but had to remove it because I had some registration/title issues. Can't wait to see what the 240lb lighter chassis will feel like.

It sure is. Its also the easiest way to drop in a B-series if you have one available.

That map sensor issue is specific to '92 - '93 DX/LX models. plug the original firewall map sensor connector into the GS-R map sensor.
