i just picked up a D16A sohc vtec 93 spec

im guessing it came from a JDM EJ1 92-95 civic's and possibly Canadian and EDM also. it has no knock sensor and running obd-1, i thought it had knock sensors?

im just trying to get the specs for this motor, any help?

not much info, theres no spec for a JDM D16A. not an a1/a2/a8 etc... just a plain JDM/EDM/Canadian D16A

 

I know just how you feel man! i had a D16A vtec and getting specs was like trying too lick your elbow haha! yeah no knock sensor think its just the DOHCs that have them. but im sure you will agree its a great engine! very fast for a sohc!

 

I can tell you its not Canadian, we got the same engines the US did, with a few minor exceptions, we didn't get D15B8s (thank god for that) or D16Y5s. I remember reading a thread a long time ago where B18C5-EH2 said he installed one at his shop, so they do exist, if its got no numbers after the A its JDM.

 

okay now i know where it originated, now ima need to know the specs hp/tq etc...
