Default WS2 exhaust question

I have a 97 civic hatch with a Gsr motor.

Heres my problem, the stock engine in my car had a cat built in the stock headers. As of right know I had to get a car welded in my front pipe to pass emissions. (stock pipe from the D15)

I just got my ws2 in the mail and its looks like its for my stock motor as in the piping goes all the way to my headers with no room to add a high flow car or test pipe. any know that had done a B swap and bought and exhaust let me kno. thanks.

I put mine on my b series i have a dc header with a stock cat and it bolted up to the cat. So yes it's for a stock motor, hopefully i read your question right i was a little confused. I am really not sure what purpose there is in welding an entire car in your front test pipe but hey to each his own... jk

no it's not, the 96-98 doesn't come with a D15.

I asked for the trim level... what is it?

If it's a hatch then I'd have to say no, there isn't a WS2 for a B-series hatch... only for B-series coupe/sedan (they can use 96-00 EX and 99-00 Si exhaust)

^^ hes right. i use a ITR W.S 1 on my hatch but i had to do some cutting on the pipe so it could fit perfectly, i didnt use no test pipe direct bolt up to the vibrant headers

why would you do that? the si comes with the b16 so what would be the benefit of running one for an EX

Id say order it for an EX since their cats are like the B-series engines. Anything other than a EX had a cat built into the header as you stated.

no. there isn't an EX hatch. If he uses a 96-00 EX exhaust it will be too long.

OP: take the exhaust you got, and shorten it where it meets the cat.
