When i rev the engine the rpm will drop so low that the engine will almsot stall, then shoot back up to normal...But at normal rpm the engine feels like its misfiring. Spark plugs are black so i think the car is running rich. When i unplug the tps (throttle position sensor) the car dies. The car has new spark plugs,wires,cap and i cleaned the iac and egr and still dose it. do i need a new tps? I think the car is in safe mode misfiring on piston 1 and 3 but i cant check codes i have a p28 in it and the code reader wont read codes. I know the p28 isnt at fault thou i have used it since i got the car without a problem. Can any1 help me .......i need this car to get to school lol

 

Sounds like you're running rich. Either fuel pressure is too high or your O2 sensor isn't working right. Someone can chime in with more ideas...
