I'm putting a obd1 b17a with a p61 ecu in my 93 eg6 (DEAD STOCK AND AUTO) dx also obd1. I have never done a swap before and i have searched all up n down this site for help and i still want some more info before i do it.. I know for a fact putting the engine in should be the easy part but when it comes to wiring i am lost, when doing the wiring all i really need to do is replace the harnesses for the new ones correct?
ALSO, since the chassis is an auto all i need is a manual pedal assemby and ill be fine?

I'm not really up on EG swaps yet, so I can't tell you anything about the wiring, but...
Your B17 *may* have come with all this, but if not, you'll need a B-series manual transmission, EG clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, shift linkage, shifter, boot, ****, clutch, flywheel, and possibly different transmission mounts - I'm not sure if the auto/manual are the same, but for some reason I don't think so.
Oh, and a manual pedal assembly.

Oh, B17 is cable tranny? I hadn't thought of that.
In that case OP, you have even more complications, and basically have to decide whether to setup the car for cable or hydro, and if hydro, then you have to decide whether you want to convert the tranny to hydro or use a cable/hydro adapter.
In this case, it might be easier to use all cable integra parts instead of finding hydro manual civic parts...

first problem
car is automatic and there is no auto to manual cable trans mount
so you will either have to switch to a hydro trans and use an EGAMH auto to manual mount
or change the frame rail bracket to a 5spd and then you can use the EGBCC
you will then need a 94-01 integra rear engine bracket and shift linkage
since the engine is obd1 you can re-use your civic engine harness and the p61 ecu will plug into your ecu plugs
you will just have to add the vtec and knock wiring
you will need the 5spd pedal assembly, clutch master, lines, and slave cylinder from a 5spd 92-95 civic or 94-01 integra

i actually have 2 transmissons, a hyrdo ls transmission and a cable b17 trans. the only reason why i want the b17 trans is cuss it has the best differential for any b-series..
so should i just go ls transmission, or b17 gsr trans..

if you decide to use the ys1 tranny from the b17, then like hasport said you will have to change out the mount bracket on the car for a manual one to use the cable conversion mount kit. personally id go with the ls tranny so there's less trouble for you. and you can use the auto to manual mount kit. id use a hydro for my b17 but didnt have another tranny available.
vtec is easy. and also the knock sensor wiring which you'll need. unless you can get your hands on a chipped p28 ecu that won't read the knock sensor. here's something to help

Im gonna go with the ls tranny with the ys1 internals, but if that gets too hard im just gonna go ls till the time comes for an upgrade.. ill just have to search on how to replace transmission internals without F'in things up lol
if i could get my hands on that ecu i would, but i have the p61 so it shouldnt be that difficult

yea like i said in your other thread, just swap internals or use the ls. hydro is easier in the long run
i also use a p61 but its chipped and doesnt read the knock sensor. the wiring seems to intimidate people but its really simple

is swapping internals easy for transmissions? cuss i've never done that before and i just searched through the faqs and came up with nothing..
yeah at first i was feeling a bit sketchy on the wiring, but i also have the original harnesses from the 93 gsr, so if i use those there wont be any need to wire vtec and worry about the knock sensor?

well if you have the entire gsr harness then yea y not... just switch it out on the ride. since it came on the motor it'll save you from extending a couple wires too.
as for the tranny... i think you can pull out the main shaft out the ys1 and put it into the ls housing. i knew a couple guys that did internal swaps like that

and so switching the internals in the transmission is easy as replacing the main shaft? lol thats wassup
