can anyone help me out on these codes

 

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
P1457 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (EVAP Canister System)

P0420 -- probably a bad cat, but also look for an exhaust leak.

P1457 -- start by checking whether the seal on the gas cap is bad.

he help me out with problem i had and worked great.

 

A very common late 90's code, P1457 is a failure in one of the evap system solenoid valves. There are 2 culprits, the Vent Control Valve & the 2 Way Bypass Valve. They are located under the vehicle, roughly below the left rear seat area. They short out due to corrosion/contamination from water seeping into the valves. I changed both, but the real culprit seems to be the 2 Way bypass Valve.
