I know some people have success with using a Big F'in Hammer with removing the Shift Linkage Pin but for it doesn't work. So does anyone think that one of these Balljoint presses will work with pushing the pin out?
I have access to borrow one of these and I want to have my bases covered in case the BFH route doesn't work.
you guys make it seems so difficult to remove the spring pin from the shifter.
using that tool would make the job harder in my opinion.
all you need is 1/4" align punch , and 2lbs sledge hammer, 5 to 8 steady taps and its out, same thing to put it in. too easy sarge!

Yeah its really not that hard. But if you for some reason cant get it out, then that would probably work. I've seen people use C clamps to get em out.
if you cant find a punch then look around your garage for a flat head screw that will fit thru the hole but not small enough to go thru the pin and stick it in there and punch it out..
Use a hammer and hit the screwdriver/punch with everything you've got. it'll fall out in 3 swings max.
If you have access to an air compressor, the pin only takes a few seconds going in out with an air-hammer/chisel with a punch-like bit.

I never new some people used a c-clamp... and to think I was original!

not really original i bet someone else has done that before. if there was a smaller ball joint press it'd be ok, because of the hole in the end just push it up through and be good.
