Default car will not rev past 4500...please help!!

whats up h-t. i got alil problem and i figured i would see what everyone thinks. i have a 95 hatch with a b16 in it and was runnnin a stock p28 on it until i upgraded to a p30 chipped ecu you with 2 step at 4500...diff vtec and higher redline. well the other night my speedometer stopped working and after that **** just went downhilll. my vtec stopped crossing over...the car felt like it was hesitating and it was idling really low. also 2 step was not workin even at a dead stop and then all of a sudden 2 step kicks off while im driving so now i cannot rev past 4500. which sometimes it kicks off n i can but still no vs and then it will go back to not lettin me rev past that. i tried switchin ecu's and that just let me go past 4500 but still no vtec and/or speedo. i tried switchin gauge clusters...took the speed sensor off my bros car and still nothin. only thing i have not tried is the ACTUALLY plug that plugs into the speed sensor...which someone said it could be. i checkd my speed sensor and everything seemed good. any ideas whatsoever?? ANYTHING will help.

I would have your ecu checked, also why did you have the p30 chipped? is there something else done to the motor. If it does not turn out to be your ecu the I would go to Checking time and your dizzy. I have had the same problem with timing in one car and dizzy in another. Hope this proves helpfull I'll check back for updates.

thanks everyone. i actually just fixed it. it wasnt the dizzy. it was the actual plug from your wire harness that connects to the speed sensor. went to the junkyard n copped one of an accord and came home and wired that **** in n the speedo worked and vtec crackd better then ever hahaha but now for some odd reason my blinkers arent working....headlights work but no blinkers...inside or outside the car. weird but atleast i got the major problem fixed. thanks alot tho guuys for your opinions i really appreciate it!!
