If you don't know how to properly select a camshaft for a given application....just stick with bolt-ons.

What the Hell do you want? A cookie? You need to do most of that (springs AT LEAST) with ANY aftermarket cams

Ooooh...let me just look in my crystal ball and divine what would be exactly the BEST camshaft for you....considering you gave us SO much information to go on to help your "selection"

If you're asking what the "BEST" camshafts for a given engine are...you don't have enough understanding of the aforementioned principles I was referring to.

One's liking of a given camshaft is going to be decided by how it works in the DESIRED AREA...i.e. does it perform well AS A PART OF THE ENGINE PACKAGE for the application for which the car is used? (drag racing, road racing, autoX, street use, or combination of any of said uses).

BLOX makes copies of some fairly well known camshafts. Many people have used them. I, personally wouldn't use them...but that's just me.

If you'd take the time to LOOK at the ALL MOTOR DYNO THREAD, you'd see what kind of success people have had.

Here...let me SPOON FEED you. Here's the wittle thwead:

Read this to understand what camshafts actually do:

for more understanding of how different things affect the engine:

Yeah...there's a whole bunch of articles to read.

Now, go read.

well, that was brutal. he's just asking for an opinion, not a lecture.

i used skunk2 stage 1 cams for over a year and really enjoyed them. like he stated, though, i wouldnt use blox or buddy club. nothing against them, i would just rather stick to skunk2. the pro series would be a bit too large of a cam for the compression and lack of torque in a b16. try the stage 1's. thats what my advice would be.
