Every company makes good valvetrain, the best for your setup mainly depends on what you are using it for,as some would be better than others for certain applications.

It really depends on your cams, theres no point in going overboard and spending a lot more than you need to. What is your setup?

I use RM valvetrain for my personal motor.

What kind of cams will you be using? This should help you decide on what you need.

I believe that skunk stage 1 cams do not require any valve train changes. however if you dont have a b16 or typeR head then you might want to add dual springs (typeR set or skunk2......) at least to your intake side.

if you plan on reving to 9000 every day all day then your stock valve train will not last very long and you will probably end up floating a valve. If i remember correctly skunk's stage 1 cams are close to civic type R(ctr) cams and i have seen many GSR's with ctr cams run to 9000 rpms. So it will work but the question is how long!!!!! If you can get your hands on some TypeR valves, springs and retainers that would be choice.

I personally don't like mixing parts in the valve train for a few reasons. Basically skunk designed their parts to fit on Honda heads and work with other skunk parts. Not to say they won't work with other parts from different company's, there just not designed to!!!!!!!

If you really feel the erge to bye a valve train I suggest to use typeR valves and skunk everything else.

I was going to get supertech valve springs and retainers from earl.

Due to $$(everything is $$) I put back the stock ones for now but keeping my revs to 8k on a slightly ported/polished b16 head. Do you think this is safe?? 8k MSD pill is in my 6al.
