But I did it anyway :S, Saturday night I went out to the local "tracks" with some buddies and we had some fun with the local racers. So I raced a few people including my buddies semi-built GSR EG (got spanked lol), a gutted stock GSR EG, a Type-S, a B16B EG and a GSR Integra. I beat all of them except my friends EG. The reason I post this is because for as much as people hate on the EP because of how slow it is I think I've beaten a few pretty quick cars. I'm wondering what some of you guys have raced and won against especially cars that you didn't expect to beat. I'm heading to the drag strip this weekend so I'm really anxious to see how I do on a real strip this year.

 

ive rolled (in our lucky 3rd gears) new sxt chargers and late 90's base camaros.

Sure, they're base models, but they do cost like 3 times as much.

 

I've beaten a few eclipse GT's, a g35, some of the like 01-03 Mustang gt's....all from like a 30mph roll and none of which I actually expected to beat. Key to not getting whipped is sitting at the top of second or third gear imo =P

You win some and you lose some, to me it's always fun regardless. There have been a few cars I expected to smash on, and completely got left. Some random single cab dodge pulled up to me the other day trying to race...had I noticed the NOS sticker on his window, I probably would have just waved. The dude actually sprayed on me in the middle of town.

 

Yeah, I've beaten a few of those, I haven't faced a Mustang GT yet though. G35's are crap except for when you try and race one and it ends up being supercharged been there done that haha.

Anyone beat a 350z in there EP?

 

I was at a red light, and this stupid kid in a silver V6 mustang convertible reved at me. I just looked and laughed, but when the light turned green he took off, and I thought to myself, I can't let this stupid fnck beat me in that sh!tty stang, so I but mine in the wind and flew past him. Needless to say, at the next red light he gave me the finger, hehehehe..... f@g!

raced a 07 civic had no problems with that one... mazda 3 gt wasn't to hard either... apart from that i learnt to no bother with ppl revving at me all the time!

 

yea when I first started swapping motors and would cruise around, douche bags would rev at me all the time. As a result I felt obligated to reciprocate and race. But after you really start dumping a buttload of cash into your car. You kind of size up other cars and now I say to myself its not even worth the race gas. I let my times/ET's to the **** talking for me at the track! I know I dont have an ep3, but regardless of that if you own a honda everyone likes to rev at you even people who know nothing about cars and can;t even replace their own winshield wipers.

 

Just raced a evo with a exhaust from what i can tell we were almost tied in my supercharged gsr.

 

I was driving home on friday night and pulled up to a red light. A black car revved at me. I thought it was a G35, but once we hit 3rd gear, he was gone. I then saw that it was an 09 Skyline lol. It was a beautiful thing.

 

lots and lots of ricers for me, like everyone said, stop lights always have one revving at you. the one i thought was kind of strange was a i/h/e pulleys tc that i waxed when i was BONE stock then my buddies base rsx with i/h/e and i had tires and intake at the time and got about three lengths on him from a dig. of course that night we played aorund some more and he blew up his motor now has a k24 with kpro and is beating turbo ka 240's lol

 

Lol Street racing is illegal, but.....well I just recently did a night out w/ some enthusiasts from my town last night .I own My 05 DC5 Stock w/ Salvage title (havnt ran for time yet). I Ran one of a friends friend who just baught a 3 gen FATF Year Eclipse GST Turbo. He said he ran a 14.9 n was killing DC5's all night @ our local drags. So he called me out. Well little did I know, my car was acting Funky the day before. Idle'n rough, made my muffler rattle real loud (I thought was pretty cool cause I couldnt afford an exhaust system yet lol) but It ran fine you know. So I Ran him 2 times and I got him both time 3/4 cars at a dig. but he killed me on the Freeway. So IDK, Im not gonna say stock my DC5 does a 14.9 or lower but ay, I killed that Eclipse. Oh yea, here the good part, the next morning, I inspected my Engine bay to see if N e thing broke from the race, come to find My passenger side MOTOR MOUNT Bolt Snapped off!!!! hahah I ran the Dude w/ only my Driver side Motor mounts on!!!!!!!! hahaha

Had a new Charger R/T pull up to me at a light down shifting by my pass window like he was Billy bad *** .Well we pulled away form the light and he got his *** Whooped ! Then little did I know he was hanging back in traffic waiting to pull on me . Then outside of town he pulled up and did the three beep thing at about 50 mph and he proceeded to get his *** Whooped again ! I was laughin my *** off the guy rolled down his window and was like what the F..k is done to that thing lol What fun , I love when some of these idiots rev at me they often regret it my cars pretty much a sleeper ! I love a 4 cyl that will make a v8 wish he hadn't revved his engine at it !

The only reason I desire to build a honda is for that very reason, to smash on these guys who spend 40,000 dollars on their domestic V8's and think they are the sh**.

i've raced plenty of cars that i shouldnt have beat but ended up winning. i think the best part of the car is the suspension handling

 

I get the weirdest people trying to race me. An old 95ish V6 Camry tried to race me. I just looked over and shook my head. There was another time some guy with no steering wheel trying to race me as well. He was turning with his hub.

I don't really like racing people, but I will do 1-3 gear runs late at night some times.

 

Ive raced my friends evo 8 with only apexi cat back rollin on 2nd gear. i can take him out goin up to 140 mph on 5th gear, he still wouldnt catch up.

a 350z with intake and exhaust i won. i thought they were fast.

those are like the only real cars that i thought i'd lose to .
