Lower Ball join Removal
Soo i need new lower ball joints and the manual says to take all this crap off like basically disassemble the hub... Do i really have to do all this? Or can i leave the brake caliper, rotor and stuff like that on and just undo the Rings and pop it out and hammer the new one in?
It takes two mins to take the hub off. Just take it off, much easier, more space to work with etc. That way you can press the new one in properly.
There's a little trick to popping the ball joint by the way... I even found a video for it.

That video is great for getting the removing the ball joint off the control arm....but if he has to replace his ball joints he still has to get them out. I believe the old ones have to be pressed out and the new ones pressed in. Good Luck
yep, you need to buy a ball joint press. harbor freight has a decent one for $39
