Broke two timing belt tensioners in under 800 miles..97 lude
Needless to say I'm slightly irritated especially since this last one required a 60 mile tow with weekend fares :D
So in researching why this part breaks so often... I came up with that if you have an upgraded valve train/springs, then the stock h22 tensioner becomes faulty and breaks.
The thread I found is as follows ::https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/h23-timing-belt-tensionser-conversion-199135/
Now, that thread was made some time ago.. so this is simple me trying to inquire an answer on if Honda corrected this issue and improved the faulty produce, OR if converting to the H23 manual tensioner is the way to go?
any suggestions?
Thank you in advance :D

Importrp.com sells those oem parts as a 'kit' which turns out to be far less expensive than buying them separately, even compared to Majestic's prices.

tweakintheco, go to coprelude.net, and ask the guys there about it too. At least one guy should be close enough to help you with the swap if you have any issues. I would if I still lived there, but I'm 1300 miles away now.
