I thinking of buying some MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires

That'll work fine, just make sure you got some platinum plugs to go with the wires

 

mine were terrible. may ppl here will tell you that stock wires are the best.

 

no need for paltnium plugs.. NGK BKR7E is cheap and one of the best. http://www.sparkplugs.com $1.99 each and you'll find most people are using those

 

they work good but make sure to zip tie them onto the cap they tend to come off

 

just stay stock or get a set of NGK's the maker of the factory stock wire.

 

So stock wires are fine hey? no need to spend the big bucks for fancy wires?

 

I have personaly made over 500hp with stock wires. I used to run a set of accel wires and they were breaking down so we threw the stocks back on and no more miss. If you look at the wires christain rado was useing on his 8.90 alky motor, they were stock. Its just for added insurance, the ngk's are good stuff. I knew a guy that claimed a 20 hp increase on the dyno going from msd to ngk wires. This is a well known engine turner and engine builder that this happened to.
