help!!!! car dying while i drive
my car is either do one of two as im driving when i come up to a light or a stop sign and i step on the clutch the car will either rev up or down to about 2k rpm and i gotta tap the gas to get it to go down and it goes to litterally 100 and sound like its about to die and sometimes it does and sometimes it goes back to about 700 rpm and holds there. other times i step on the clutch and the rpms drop till it dies. any help is greatly appreciated
You can check all the wires for the tps, and the iacv too... I had the same problem and mine were just broken clips.
- cut old clip off, and connect a new one.
see if the plastic is clipped or if the wires look abnormal at all.

This leads to the question: Is the CEL is ON?
i would love a turbo lol but i cant afford it lol
checked the alternator today by unplugging the positive and had the radio playing which there is a system hooked up to and i was revving it some and still was running fine
i checked all of them and all the clips was still clipped on and good
no surprisingly but i need to go back and check to see if the bulb is still good cuz if u ask me i think that it should be on

oh i checked the throttle cable also and its good, i do need to clean the throttle body which probly wont happen till tomorrow and ill let u know if anything changes after that

that would suck if there was no bulb... cause then there could be more... haha my buddy bought a car for almost 7500 bucks. ran decent for 2 days, and then it took a ****. turned out there was no bulb. and never passed emissions. sits in his garage while he makes payments on it

cleaned the throttle body yesterday with some throttle body cleaner and ran it for a little, it was running at like 1200 for a while but im guessing thats because of the left over cleaner, i wont know how it is when im driving until about tomorrow since im not really driving around cuz of a failed inspection
ok took it out driving today to school and around and it still doing almost the say thing, it would still idle at like 1500, 2k and when i tap the gas it would go down but now it will hit like 200 and go up to a normal idle it doesnt really seem like it wants to die now

i take it that the check engine isnt working, i didnt take it out way to busy with school and exams today but last i remembered the cel should come on when u turn the key to the one right before you start it and mine doesnt come on at all

Is it obd2?
and what kinda car is it? if its obd2 then there is usually a plug next to the fuse box, plug an obd2 reader and see what happens... autozone has them to use.

been driving it for a while now and hasnt died yet but its stil doing the idle high thing, but as far as dying or sounding like it wants to it hasnt done that yet
