F20B in a Del Sol or Civic?
I was just wondering if anyone had an EG of any sorts (ie. hatch, coupe, sedan, sol) with an F20B swap in there car. im looking for some pictures of how well the swap fits and works and what not. some videos would be cool too. let me know what you guys have. thanks
You are correct, most of the F-series are SOHC.
However, this is the F-series engine found in the S2000 and it is DOHC. I believe that it is the only DOHC F-series, or one of the few.
Kinda like how D-series are SOHC, except for the DOHC ZC engine.

I thought the S2000 F series was not related to the F series thats in Accords. Would a RWD engine even work in a FWD car? Maybe this is a F block with an H head?

Yes, it would work. You use an H-series transmission.
Kinda, but not really. A DOHC D-series head won't swap onto a SOHC block without some work. I think it was a guy in New Zealand who I read about swapping a DOHC head onto some random D series block. But F and H series blocks and heads are all interchangable regardless if the block had a SOHC or DOHC head originally.

Do it. The only parts you can't easily obtain are bottom-end related things. The cylinder head is nearly identical to H22, same intake and exhaust stuff, etc. Swaps just like an OBD2 H22, so follow the how-to's and you'll figure it out. Everything you need is in there, trust me.
Just make sure you get the MANUAL transmission version, and get the T2T4 transmission if you can. The automatic version has 180hp to the manual's 200hp; the manual has H22 Type-S cams and a bigger throttle body. The T2T4 transmission that originally came in the manual transmission version has good ratios (identical to 5th gen. Prelude; nothing neuters an H22/F20B like an Accord transmission with long gears). It also has a limited slip differential, which will be a major plus for you. Do intake and exhaust mods; RMF or Hytech header (replicas OK), EuroR or Skunk2 intake manifold (also makes swapping to OBD1 much easier!), and it should make power up to 8,000 RPM, maybe a bit more. I'd use a chipped OBD1 P28, with the Skunk2 manifold to get rid of the secondaries, and tune it. The F20B loves timing advance, so there are big gains to be had with proper dyno tuning.

and as for the rest of idiots...ie. the only dual cam f series is and s2000 engine and thats whats in the civic in the picture, and the, i thought f series were only single cam, and the why put an f20 in your del sol, just out an h22....blah blah blah. go finger fcku someone elses thread you retarded fckuing post ******. stay out of mine unless you have a relative and helpfull comment to my question or pictures of what im asking about......F20Bs in an EG chassis. thanks.
thanks again F20B_CX for your info.
