i been told abunch of times to use a ls crank with ls rods for a poor mans type r but i have also been told a gsr crank with gsr rods ??

 

This is what the "poor man type r" means to me-
GSR block, crank, rods
ITR piston
Pr3 head with ITR I/M or similar
ITR/CTR cams

Theres so many damn variations on what people think is a poormans type r
on this site that its crazy. Just try to think of it as replicating a type r motor.
If you use an ls crank and rods, its not replicating an ITR.
It would then be a PMITRS ...lol
