Icon2 Amplifier will not turn on after cleaning engine bay.

Cleaned the engine bay of my 96 accord v6 the other day and now my amplifier is not turning on at all.Its not in standby or anything, just powerless. I've never had any problems with my set up at all. Amp has worked perfectly since it was bought and installed in Feb of '08. I am not having problems with anything else other than the amp. The Headunit is fine all as well as all other electrical components in the car. First time cleaning the engine bay so I never had this problem. The amps main power line fuse near the battery was covered. The fuse DID NOT blow. Nor did any other fuse on amp, heaunit, or throughout car. After the cleaning I turned the stereo on and it worked for about 30 seconds than went on and off about 3 times then finally stay off. I drove the car around a bit to my destination then messed around with the main power fuse a bit. I noticed that it might have gotten wet somehow and the inside of the plastic was fogged and saw a few drops of water around the fuse and metal holder thing. Blew the water out with my mouth and it appearred that it was now dry. Powered the car back on and the amp again TURNED ON as normal. So I down the block turned up the music a lil bit and the same thing happened as the first time. On off a lil then just stayed off. That's my current status. No power at all to the amp. No standby/red light on the amp at all, just powerless. I tried to replace the 100 amp fuse up front on the main power line even though the original wasn't blown but nothing. After drying the fuse/block the first time when a put the fuse back in there was a small spark when the fuse made contact letting me that there was at least power going through it but after the last shut-off and fuse change there is nothing at all. No spark/doesn't appear to have power going through it. I know it is specific to the cleaning/water of my engine bay as my setup/amp has never had an issue with power offs. Maybe its the fuse holder? I don't know anymore, please help if u can. Thanks guys!

you need 3 things in order for you amp to power up, get your multimeter and first test continuity between the ground screw on your amp and vehicle chassis, do this while the rca's are unplugged - sometimes the rca's will deliver a ground from the head unit. Once you have established a ground, test your 12v positive wire to make sure you have power, if you do have power, then proceed to test the remote wire, not the Head Unit must be on to recieve power at the remote, if you have power at the remote, the 12v has +12v and the ground is good, then you more than likely have a bad amp, if you lack power at the remote, you may have burned up the remote or blew a fuse- some remote wires are fused, if you do not have power at the 12v+ then you have lost a connection or blew a fuse, if you do not have sufficient ground, then check the terminals for your ground wire, also disconnect your power wire for the amp from the battery, when you were "cleaning" you may have corroded the connection, make sure this has not happend...

UPDATE: 2 days after posting I turned the amp back on from the headunit and it magically started working again. Didn't mess with anything. Was waiting for the weekend to try the suggestions above(thx btw) but everything returned to normal on its own. I'm assuming the water dried up from wherever it made contact. Anyway thx for the help anyway

well say you did have a corrosion problem under the hood, it would be a good idea to check these connections while you know its working to ensure you do not have this happen again..

Sounds like a light corrosion problem to me to.

Take the battery terminal and clean with some sand paper all of the connections.
take the fuse out of the holster and clean it too.

this will help some AFTER you have cleaned the terminals.

I would take some time and do this correctly now or it will crop up in the future.
