Who did you buy the s300 unit & ecu from ?
What happens when you try to engage vtec ?

A P06 is a non-VTEC ECU. If you want to use the alternate VTEC output you will have to wire the correct output you choose to a relay that activates the VTEC solenoid.

no not true i have another s300 p06 ecu and it works perfectly. i figured it out though by comparing mine to the messed up one. one of the things your supposed to put a little resistor that is supplied in the s3 kit. and instead of doint that they just hard wired it. but if anyone knows what ohm resister its supposed to be or if its even a resistor. it would be nice to know. so i could go pick one up from like radioshack and do it the right way.

thanks

The only way you can run vtec on a non-vtec p06 is by adding vtec components to the ecu or by using an alternate output & relay to activate vtec per spunkster's recommendation.

Can you verify that vtec components have or have not been added to the ecu?

This will answer your question. If you can get a picture of inside the ecu that would work too.
