Default Old EG Owner New DC Owner

Hey there all, I was on this site way back when I was in High School which was like 9 years ago!! I had a 92 Milano Red Hatch that was nicely put together, (I will see if I can post a pic), But I had to sell it and now I have a Frost White Integra. I sort of still like the body style of the EG and it doesnt quite compare to the DC.
I was wondering if anyone else has had to or has wanted to make the switch from an EG to a DC like me. And what was the differentces, and likenesses that you found yourself criticing about your latest ride. Whether you went from an EG to a DC or vise versa.
Thanx- Civilized

EG chassis always caught my eye and always owned one for life. DC chassis is good too, its more of a solid chassis. But EG chassis is lighter.

I just recently bought a 98 integra gsr and I have to say for a total stock car it handles very well. My bf has a 96 EJ6 4 DR and he's done some work to it and man my car handles almost as well as his does.

What? I tend to disagree, unless you are talking about an ITR. I own CX, and it handled better then my GSR. Now that I have my sway bars in and Buddyclub N+ suspention, it will out handle my GSR anyday...and DC2 has ITR sways with a Tien type flex tuned 6F 10R on EDFC. The EG is just more agile due to curb weight, and body size.

These are interesting aspects. I mean I had a 92 cx hatch and that thing was light and I could get up and go. But on the other hand it was a small SOHC engine, and even with mods that I did (I/H/E) it still seemed not powerful enough. The stock RS Integra has a DOHC engine in it and I feel a difference there, and with the handling it has to do something with the stock rear sway bar. I havent done anything to the Teg yet just minor cosmetic things, but looking to maybe just do the (I/H/E) and leave it at that. I mean This is my daily driver and can afford someone ripping it off. I was scared all the time with my hatch because of the popular body style.

If you want your DC to handle better, I say get the ITR front and rear sways, and add some generic tower bars and lower tie bars, I assure you that it will handle alot better then before.

I plan on getting some of those too, I mean I had them on my Hatch and they worked great for tight turns. Thanx JDM

There are many MEGA threads for that...back to the topic.

I have owned both a EG and a DB. The EG had a lot more road noise and just felt like it was going to fall apart. My integra felt much more solid and comfortable even with aftermarket suspension. I know the EG chasis has the potential to be quicker, but I'd rather counterbalance that factor with a little luxury. Acura's overall feel much smoother than Honda's IMO. The EGs seem to be more bouncy than DC/DBs no matter what you do to them.
It all comes down to a personal preference to be honest.

I switched from eg to dc. I liked driving my eg better because of it being smaller and being able to zip through traffic. But I would still switch to my Dc for my upgrades!
