Well i finally got my trans pulled apart today and because of a wrongful assembly of washers, and gear assembly on the mainshaft (by the guy that did it ) my main input shaft was completely fvcked up.

Needless to say my question is this:

My transmission is a Type R transmission and the part number for the Main input shaft from acura is : 23210-P21-020

Now i was planning on just using the main input shaft from my old GSR transmission and just swapping everything over to that but sadly the part number for a GSR Main Input Shaft is: 23210-PS1-A04

can someone tell me what exactly the difference between the two mainshafts are and if it is possible to use the GSR Mainshaft w/ the Type R everything else.

I think they are interchangeable. BUT im not 100% sure

no there 2 diffrent parts bud type r is a short geared tranny than the gsr so the tooth count on the gears are diffrent look at this http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/temp/Bgears.htm
