Its a 95 civic ex 1.6 vetec after I have driven the car and it warms up if I shut it off for like 5 min and then try to start its flooding it out. sometimes I can get it started or I have to wait a long time to try to start again sometimes I can hold the pedal to floor and after like 5 min of cranking it will sputter to life then rev high for awhile also it started to idle about 1500 rpm I know its flooding cause you can smell gas and then After it fires its reving high. I replaced main reley new plugs its getting good spark. Also when its idleing if you just bairly tap the throttle it will bog down then come back up. Its not throwing any codes also replaced o2 sensor. please help guys thanks nate

Have you checked the resistance of the plug wires and inspected the distributor cap and rotor? Is the ignition timing set to spec (see diagram below)?

You should also consider cleaning the throttle body, IACV, and FITV, and checking whether the throttle cable is adjusted too tightly.

 

Alright I swapped to a diffrent dizzy and wires still does it its like when you go to start it it floods it out then when you get it running it will idle about 1500 rpm then after its warm sometimes only sometimes it will idle down I have know Idea I swapped map sensor and put a diffrent Iacv on. All together Ive put on diffrent injectors fuel pressure reg new fuel filter new plugs wires new dizzy plugs diffrent ecu, main reley Im just about to give up here I have no clue. and I did set timming when it idled down for me the one time and I put it dead on it was real close to start. Please help thanks nate
