Default main relay problem on 92 vx

my 92 vx has 270k miles. Its all stock and usually never gives me problems. I was driving home yesterday and it died as i was slowing down for a stop sign. It had a cel but wouldnt let me check it. I went to restart it but the fuel pump didnt come on. I checked my fuel kill switch but no luck. I ran temp wires to get the fuel pump going. It still wouldnt start even though i could hear the pump going. I swapped in a p28 to see if that would help while waiting for a friend to tow me to the shop. I swapped in a known good main relay but it didnt help either. All fuses are good. The only thing i can think of is a fuseable link but wouldnt know where to start on finding that. Any ideas? Thanks in advanced

Definitely clean and tighten the ground wire on the thermostat housing.

Do you have spark?

Double check whether fuse 31, 24, or 18 is blown.

When you lack both fuel and spark, the problem is usually the ECU if the grounds are good. Check whether the MAP sensor connector is receiving 5 reference volts from the ECU.

If you look carefully, you have both a fuse 24 and 25 set away from the other fuses under the dash.
