my compression is all over the place it was (1-2-3-4)130,96,120,170 i have a jdm gsr block with ls internals and a b16 head could need of valve adjustment,floated valves and or bad rings doing this bought the motor from someone who was runnin 8psi boost it runs but its hard to keep idle please help

 

Most any engine will run with some compression, how good, well that is another question. I think your BMEP is down little. You may want to fix that.

 

If your valve lash is properly adjusted, those numbers are pretty bad. Time to chase down the "leakage."

 

thanks fellas one more ques I bought the whole swap motor,tranny,manifold and 550 injectors i bought it for $900 should i punch the kid in his face for sellin me a bad motor or should i just try and fix the problem either way ill be happy will the motor run with floated valves it runs fin on the highway just wont hold an idle in stop and go traffic cracks vtec and everything

Cmon Jaime, let's try to improve the discourse for a moment. Now we know what the OP did was not the brightest of moves but he did have the wherewithal to compression test the motor. Which means he has a clue and is trying to remedy the problem. So, he's not all bad just a lot bad.

OP, doing violence against the seller is wrong and it does not really get to the heart of the matter. When you buy a used motor at a very low price you should expect to have some issue.

Now, you know the motor runs but it does not run correctly. The 1st thing you should do is check the valve lash and leak down test (like rocket said).

When you get the results of those checks, report back here and I'm sure you will get some help in determining how to remediate the problem.

 

the kid told me the motor was running strong he jus had the car tuned and three days later crashed the car and one of my boys said he saw the car running if he told me there was a problem with it i would not have a problem cuz im expecting it but he told me it was good thats why im pissed i put alot of $ into the car and its sitting in my driveway collecting dust the motor was a turbo motor 8psi ebay turbo kit the kid said put down 252

well ebay turbo is always a bad start! for future reference.. but sounds like you have some "nice" pieces there w/ block and head maybe trace down problem and fix or part out?
