it can be done, but the tip has to be cut off, you can't run a sway bar either with the ITR muffler...bascially, it will look like a stock civic muffler, just in flat black

even notched the rear bumper reinforcement to move it up more
it either rubs against my 22mm rear sway or the body of the car
it WONT fit and not rub

not sure , I'm quite sure on a coupe/4dr you'd have room
but on any hatch I dont think so.......I have an EG its the only car I've tried to put it on
also I have one for sale , hangers cut off used for two days OEM 00' ITR muffler
