I have a 92 integra gsr and want to upgrade to something alot nicer, smoother, and comfortable for not too much money. I was looking at the 2003 and up accord sedans, I want to stay around 11k and under. Now I PREFER the leather interior with the V6 3.0l. But I only can find a few for around that price and I can find ALOT of low mileage 2.4l accords. Is there a huge difference between the two ? Which would you buy if you had a choice ? Is it worth the extra money for the v6 and leather in the accord ?

 

2.4 comes in leather too... you have to get the ex version right?and if you dont really plan to mod it, id go with v6, if you wanna do stuff to it, then do the 2.4

 

But if im not mistaken, isnt the v6 still faster than the 2.4 with intake, headers, and exhaust ? It would take a turbo or super charger to be faster, and I plan to keep the engine stock for california reasons.

I just picked up a 2.4L a few days ago adn I did drive the EX-L 6 speed 3.0 even though I settled with an auto. Needed a car quick and fast and they didn't have any 5 speeds in the 2.4L anywhere/location where I live. Regardless, if you can afford the EX-L go for it. The one they had here was $15990 and they came down to about $14495 but I was putting half down on that car plus my trade. To me, the EX-L obviously was a tad quicker but your going from a 160 HP to a 244 HP so there is a difference. But spend your money wisely and if you want to work on it... I'd go for the 2.4 but that's just me. I'd want the extra cash readily available to use to trow a few goodies on. Good luck!

Edit: The HPs I was providing was on the 2006's also sorry. Because that's what I went with. Not sure if there is a major difference if at all to the 2003's.

 

I have the 03 EX V6 with leather, and I love it. Plenty of power, comfortable, and you don't have to modify anything to make it go. The gas mileage isn't bad either, compared to most V6 cars. You should be able to find one close to your price range, just make sure it was maintained properly, if it has high mileage on it.

 

I had an 04 EX V6 with leather for 4.5 years. Very fast, smooth, and comfortable. Averaged 23 mpg overall with my ex-wife's lead foot and many short trips.

 

I drive a 2.4L accord. it has horrible power. Horrible. But it drives smooth and is pretty comfy. Good mileage too

 

2003 ex v6 and love it. If you can afford it, get it.
