How many of you do this and should i just test it off the compressor housing intake side and is there any thing that could happen to the turbo because of this test.. How many psi do you guys check about 20-30 psi..
As a diagnostic tool, I end up needing to do this pretty often...It's a good idea to test a new setup this way too, especially MAF cars. I usually go from the compressor inlet and go at least 5-10psi over the highest boost it will ever see.

I know how to do it bolt it on to the compressor side where the intake would go on and use a tire nipple and blow it up.. I dont know if this would do any damage to the turbo and does the turbine fines spin while you do this... I found a leak on my charge pipe where the ssq was welded on i gotta re do it on monday.. at first i thought the hks was actually leaking but its ok it was the weld didnt suspect that i been running 6psi before and never knew...
It won't hurt the turbo and it won't spin unless you have a huge leak and there is some signifigant flow across the compressor while you are trying to pressurize it.

Thanks for that i thought the same way but some one pointed it wouldnt be good to do a boost leak the put pressure in the system when there is no oil going threw the turbo... I was little worried its a new 60trim BB.. dont want to have to buy another
