SSR Comps bending?
Has anyone had trouble with SSR comps bending on them? On the track or normal street driving. I was searching on the web and there seemed to be alot of talk about them not being strong enough among the bimmer and audi forums...
You might want to ask this in the road racing/autocross section. A friend of mine has SSR Competitions and he has had no problems but he doesn't autocross with them.
I know that Realtime racing bends theirs on their ITRs but they have plenty of money to replace them with.

i'm guessing it would have to be a matter of rim size and tire profile. the Realtime guys were running 17s i believe. i also have heard some horror stories about the SSR type c's/comps
TKBLAZER who ownz SSR rims and has already bent one

But in reality their wheels are under tremendose amounts of heat and pressure from lateral Gs to jumping the curbs in the S turns.

Yes, they bend...and the word is that SSR stopped making them...
Search the European forums and youll find more then enough information on them...I believe it was some BMW road racing team that threw out a huge amount of them b/c they are too easy to bend...
Anyways, the word is spreading from forum to forum...ssr comps get a big
for looks and weight, but a big
for bending too easily.
