This happened three years ago and then never happened so i didnt fix it.

This month it has happened 3x. It usually happens when i make a short trip, park, and try restarting again. When i run into this, i usually press on the accelerator 3/4's and the car somehow starts.

The key turns, I hear a click noise and the fuel pump. But the engine won't crank.

I talked to some friends and they said starter. Today it happened at a gas station, talked to a mechanic and he said replace the ignition wires.

What are your thoughts?

Intermittent problems are tricky. Sounds like a bad starter. Also check the ground wire on the transmission, as well as the battery ground wire.

 

Start with some new ground wires make sure the one from the tranny to frame is good and have the starter tested
