help gsr in eg

Default help gsr in eg


here is the mani

now under the mani next to the purge and oil senson there is a green plug and the sensor is screwed into the block what is this for one. and for two im using a vtec harness but it does not have this i cut this off the old harness which was a rhd harness so how do i wire this in do i need it. and any help would be nice thanks


here is the plug. its same color as vtec plug but idk what it is..

I had a non vtec harness and wired it for my GSR so im not 100% sure, But what is the plug close to? Coolant temp sensor plugged in? Knock sensor?

Looks like coolant temp sensor plug to me. check by your water neck and see if the sensor has a plug on it

i think im not explaining enough lol.. i know where this goes it is a black sensor plug screwed into the block which is right next to the purge. this plug is cut off not connected to anything the old harness had it but itsw from a rhd and my harness im using does not.. where do i run the plug wire to for the sensor to work properly. i know where sensor goes i just needa know where the sensor wires into the car,ecu or harness

That would be knock sensor if its black and screwed into the back of the block. If its been cut off then just splice a new plug where it was cut.

EDIT: Its a RHD harness so its JDM right?. Just wire it straight to the ECU if it doesn't have the plug.

Well if your harness doesn't have the plug then it won't have the wire. It will need to be repinned into the harness right where it plugs into the ECU. What ECU are you running?

so i have the motor in and running but i havent wired in my knock sensor yet. and its not throwing any check lights. should i still wire it in? lik wil it affect anything if i dont?
becasue my harness im using does not have a knock sensor plug in it.

If its the ecu isn't throwing a code then its not gonna look for it. Give it time see if it comes up later.

just wanting to make sure if my car isnt throwing a code for the knock sensor do i still need to wire it in to the ecu? does it affect anything
