Do JDM EG fogs work with USDM hatch, wiring?
I have a 92 civic hatch Si.
im trying to get some fogs.
found some JDM stanleys that has almost the complete kit. the guy told me that all i need is 4 to 5 feet of single wire to connect the fog wiring on the bumper to the dashboard. And the bolts to put the mounts on. but the rest it there.
he said he did not know if it would be compatible with the wiring of USDM car. Im sure it will work but i want to be sure before i shell out the money. Im not very educated when it comes to wiring and stuff in cars.
I appreciate all the help. thanks
if you think its not a good idea to get them and just go with a new kit. let me know, i rather not go cheap ebay, but is password jdm good?

Mine were $225 shipped new from passwordjdm.com, I used them about 3-4 months can't remember and due to the fact my car was so damn low I went though about 3 bumpers in a year I'm just sick of cutting out bumper hole's and bolting and unbolting them.

I had JDM OEM yellow fogs on my 92 VX. Everything bolts up and plugs up fine. The only other thing you need to do is run a single 18G wire from the fog harness through the firewall to the switch harness. I would stick to OEM, you can't beat quality of fitment and reliability.

Thank you finally someone answers my question. I appreciate it man, same thing as the guy selling them said. I need that wire. so it cool just wanted to know if it would work becuase he didnt know for sure. Looks like i finally found myself some stanleys. appreciate the help once again.
Yeah, crimp on some female spade connectors on each side of the single wire. It will slide right into and connect to the brown harness connectors on the OEM harnesses.

sorry to ask but what are female spade connectors. and i guess crimp is to attach them. by just sticking them in the socket or to sauder it together?

A male spade connector looks like a small horse shoe. The male piece goes into it and completes the current.
Soldering is recommended more since it wont fall apart and such.
I doubt your fog lights are "JDM". If I were you, I'd get that $20 fog light wiring kit from Pep Boys and use that. It works perfect, and ive installed it on 4 different cars. It allows your fogs to receive power from the battery, but still be connected from a relay to that corner lights. So whenever you turn on your corner lights, your fog lights turn on too. That way you wont accidentally leave them on. If you do get this kit, send me a PM and ill help you install it.

I bought my OEM 99-00 fogs from my cousin for $20. He didnt have an EK at the time, but 3 months later he got one. Now he regrets the sale.

You don't even need the single wire. Your Civic (all Civics) are pre-wired. There is a BLU/RED wire right there next to your driver's side headlight. Go have a look! It goes all the way in through the firewall and you'll find the other side blue-taped up above the brown and grey connectors... between them and the firewall. The arrow in the picture below points (kinda) to where you should look -- well, it will get you started. Crawl under there and drop it down.

My 92 VX wasn't but my friend's 95 DX was. 92-93 Civics were not prewired and I don't think it was an accessory until 94.
