over haul
I have a 89 Civic DX, my friend is selling me his Si motor w/everything.. axles, ecu, tranny for only $450. Burns very little oil and has 130k miles.
Will it be worth my time and money to over haul this d16a6, convert my car to mpfi, do a mini me swap, and turbo it - safely? As compared to just getting a b16?

Vtec is not over-rated...Are you kidding me? Variable Timing is a breakthrough in modern street performance and was pioneered by Honda...
If I were you, I would blueprint the D16 motor and learn as I go...Make sure you choose a reputable engine machine shop and have fun...
