I'm going to say homemade turbo . Com read read read that's what I did and I built my first setup entirely without reading. But by knowledge from what I read. It has a lot of good info. All I have to say is do it right. Simply no shortcuts do everything right no halfass. From experience I've blown 4 d series. Ha next is a b series and I've learned from my mistakes. Good luck sorry i'm not much of help.

Yeah I can't get the picture to come up but I saw one VERY nice homemade turbo kit for an DX once. I'm thinking about doing one myself this because IDK what else to do to my car and I think it would be fun =D.

fist of all, why do you need a jumper harness? your not doing an obd conversion, so that pointless.
next, if your on a tight budget you should go ahead and rule out buying a bolt on turbo kit, cause your looking at between 3000-3500 for an intercoolered setup.
you should strongly consider pieceing together a turbo kit, you will need the following:
-turbo(research and find one that good for your application and that cheap)
-wastegate(please no ebay knock-offs. a good wg will set u back around 200)
-blow off valve(good one for between 150-200)
-intercooler+piping(ssautocrome makes a decent one for 250-shipped)
-bigger injectors(i recommend dsm 450cc, you can get 4 for around 80)
-complete oil lines(around 80 for all fitting and hoses)
-get ur ecu chipped, you can buy a custom tune on xenocron.com for only 15 bucks
-i strongly recommend a wideband o2 sensor, aem uego is good and only 220
-boost gauge
-downpipe
-turbo manifold(100 bucks for cast log off ebay-it works fine)
that about all i can think of off that top of my head, just get ur own prices for all that stuff and then u will know about how much your turbo setup will cost.
good luck

wow. why would you bash an ebay wastegate, then use the words "decent" and "ssautochrome" in the same sentence? i've got a friend on here that puts over 500 hp to the wheels in a boosted small block using an ebay wastegate. anyway, as for the oil lines, you can use brake line's and oil fittings for the turbo oil lines, about 5 bucks each at autozone. injectors, if you want, i can give you a guy on here that has them for 60 bucks shipped, quite often. you mentioned getting your ecu chipped, but forgot to mention a tune, and that would set you back around 350 and up. you could always check out the marketplace. i've seen set ups far far far less than 3k. say around 800 or so.

fist, you might want to convert your DX to at least MPFI. Might as well go for OBD1 and a head upgrade to Z6 or Y8 if it's in your budget.

I think if you would put an turbo on an D15B2 it's this to have fun not to be an drag car. Like I know that the engine isn't goin to make past 190 HP even if you do everthing you can to it. But me if I had 135HP in my D15 with an turbo.... I'm happy because I would have fun with it and it's goin to be an safe HP gain..... But this is me and what I think.

Yeah I this whated to thorw that in.

on a budget and trying to get a dx to do 12's... i'd be suprised if you hit even a high 13 let alone a 12 second anything. good luck finding anyone who will tune obd0, so yes you should look into an obd0-1 ecu jumper and then a chipped ecu. a basemap is not going to cut it, so expect to pay $350+ for a good tune.

I would def recommend converting to MPFI becauase your 2 stock injectors (DPFI) are not going to hold any power before the injectors max out. and get some DSM 450cc injectors. Dave Blundell (Check Forced Induction Tuners Sticky) and Chris Harris (www.xenocron.com) both tune on BRE or TurboEdit for Obd0 cars.

ww.realhomemadeturbo.com is the best place to look. There is a EF hatch running 10.50's @130ish mph, with very minimal amount of money in the turbo kit as he did most of the work himself got some deals on parts etc. I know Dr. D-Series is on this site and that's who owns the car. It rips something nasty.

With a little know how 12s are possible depeding on your driving.

http://www.homemadeturbo.com/turbo_projects/d15b2/

This is a project they did before the forums got bought out by some douche and botched it all up. Still running stock DPFI with 2 extra injectors, but it's just easier to convert to MPFI

thanks for all the input. i'm thinking-for now i'm just going to throw on something small like an IHIRHB5 w/an HF manny @ 8 lbs on the stock motor and maybe just running dsm injectors (are these too big for the turbo?). and maybe convert to mpfi. anyone give me a ballpark # of how much converting to mpfi's gonna cost? But for now, i'll be happy just making a small amount of extra power (maybe 140ish). Also- (hosletcivic). i wanted a jumper harness cuz i wanted to get to obd1 for the tunability. but anyways, i don't know much about these things so i was wondering if i'd need a resistor box for the dsms.

8 lbs? More like 4 lbs. 8 is goin to be way to much for an engine like that.

With that little turbo? I don't think so. At 15 psi he's be lucky to get 150hp. That engine can easily do 150hp... unfortunately it's way off the OP's goal and, at best, he would be stuck at low 13's with the trubo maxed out. This turbo will run out of steam well before redline at about 4,000 rpm. It might be decent for city street driving as it will spool up quickly, but for drag racing it's really not what you want.

TouandCIM, if you don't swap to MPFI then you aren't going to be able to get your ECU chiupped and tuned. Nobody tunes OBD-0 DPFI cars. You might be able to use an FMU instead. Good luck trying to see 12 sec on that setup... I don't see it happening.

Well this is me. I don't think an D15B2 well ever do 13's... I what to put an turbo on mine this because I what and need 35 more HP on the days that it really don't what to move. Because the DPFI it only runs good one somedays. Like today I was having alout of fun with this because the weather was good out today.
