i have an 88 crx si. i put a jdm b16a in and when i got the motor the Throttle Position Sensor was shattered. Well I put a new one on from another b16a throttle body. Well after the swap and all the car revs to about 3,500-4,000 rpm's and throws a code for check engine light. Everything was fine before and i had the same motor in it and it all worked normal so I want to believe the wiring is good. I substituded the ECU with a known good one and same thing! I know this throttle position sensor is good, and im getting the right amount of voltage, however not sure why its acting the way it is. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! I just want to get my old crx back on the road sooo bad.. please help

 

what code is it throwing? check your ecu.

have you re-checked all of your wiring/grounds etc?

 

yeah all grounds are good and im getting the right voltage up to the sensor

 

did you come from a dpfi motor? becuase the tps wires are backwards on those... makes a difference with a swap
