Type "R". Just a guess. Or you could build a poormans GSR.

He told you what to use although it's pretty self explainatory what to use... you build a poor man's type R, you use type R cams right?

No...what you NEED is some BASIC knowledge of HOW TO CHOOSE A CAMSHAFT THAT COMPLIMENTS YOUR ENGINE PACKAGE. Don't just come on here and ask a question, and when you get a good answer, you get a f*cking attitude with the person answering you.

He was playing with you because the answer was so obvious as to what cam to use.

haha, sarcasm can be tricky sometimes.
im jacking this thread because its old and i dont feel like making another one
my questions are....

does a stock B18block and stock B16head just mate perfectly?
without any other things like pistons, head studs, etc...

can i use the stock GSR head studs?
same timing belt?
use GSR head gasket? or b16 head gasket?
will a Blox Intake Manifold for GSR fit on the B16 head?
and also DC Sport header for a GSR fit on B16 head?
any vtec problems? or other wiring problems?

so basically my questions are fitment issues
i have these 2 pieces ready to go. just wondering if its really that easy.

That is my motor. B18B block with the PR3 (b16) head. I would spend the extra scratch on a set or ARP LSVtec studs. Ive heard that the GSR headbolts are what you want to use if you dont run Studs.

I am running a Stock GSR exhaust Manifold so the Header should work. Also running an LS Head Gasket, GSR timing belt (new) and Water Pump.

p.s. Go with Golden Eagle or a Kit that works like Golden Eagle for the Oil Supply line.

Also I am taking in account that you already know how to set up the Vtec head for LSVtec.... Right?

For intake manifold you can run Skunk2 or others,,, No GSR manifold will work... GSR manifolds suck old webos.

I assume u are talking about B18C block and B16A head correct?
They will mate perfectly.
Stock GSR head studs are fine but i recommend ARP
Same timing belt....
A GSR intake mani will not bolt up to a B16 head
All B series headers bolts up.
