Type R cams, GSR head, and turbo.. Good combo?
my new setup may consist of type r cams on a gsr block/head and turbo... what are the benifits and are they worth it to swap out the gsr cams and go with the type r cams... If its not , the I"ll probably just stick with the gsr cams and leave the head alone for the time being...
thanks..
thanks..

Keep your gsr cams and stock head, they are perfect for the street. Spend your $$ on good engine management

Keep in mind this hp was made in a car made to rev to 9500 on a big turbo. for a fun yet mild streetcar, gsr cams and a stock head will do fine, as earl stated above.

Yes what Art said, I had 2000 Si cams then swapped to ITR cams. I have never tried GSR cams myself, a friend has on his 2.0 GSR set up and made 2 whp less and 15 ft-lb more torque swapping frm GSR to ITR. SO it's all about combination and your set up.
This is thread where I posted my ITR cam results.

I dont think it would be a bad idea. But to back it up is this right here. Also like anyone else would tell you that it all depends on your setup. Good luck on what you decide.
