Im currently in the process of placing the tie rod back onto the strut assembly after installing lowering springs....and were trying to tighten the nut for the tie rod, but the whole tie rod end bolt is turning, and were not able to tighten it. Is this normal? Currently trying to use some pliars to hold it from turning but its not working well...

 

I usually use vice grips to hold it,
im in the same boat man, excpet mine is bent, i have to replace mine and the nut wont come off so iam going to have to cut it off, Pain in the ***..

 

have u read the diy suspension in the faq? read it... a scissor jack can help u out with that...

I did the same thing as in the picture but i used it beneath the strut rather than above it...
