Maintenence light 02 Accord
Hey I have an 02 Honda Accord SE 4 cylinder and my maintenence light went on. I looked at the manual it said it might be the emission or that I didn't close my fuel cap right. It turns to that I didn't close the fuel cap right. But I found that out on Wednesday and it's already been 2 days and the light is still on, how long will it be till the light goes off since I closed the fuel cap right?
Or could it the fuel that I put in?
Or could it the fuel that I put in?
if its the mait required light then the car is due for service or the reminder has not been reset since the last oil service. now if the check engine light is on that's entirely something else.
Well I know the car is due for an oil change I already reached 3k miles since I last got it. Also this happened after I fueled the car. I was told it could've been the fuel.
i don't think the light will go away on it's on being a CEL ... i don't know if it will go away if you reset the ecu but it's worth a try ... unplug the battery (-) terminal for 30 seconds or so ... put it back on ... and start your car ... if you have an oem stereo make sure you know the security code ...
