Want to remove stock oil cooler to fit sandwhich adaptor, ideas?
I have a 94 JDM GSR with a stock oil cooler on the back of the block. It's located in front of oil filter for those who don't know. The problem is I bought an Edelbrock sandwich adapter for my oil feed and gauge but the adapter does not fit on the current plug on the back.
Here was my original thread about it last year, which the only thing accomplished was calling me an idiot. Pictures of the adapter not screwing on half down page 1.

Heres a picture of the oil cooler on page 2 from a stock GSR

Can I remove the oil cooler and use a plug from a 96+GSR so the adapter screws on? Any other ideas to shorten the plug so the adapter can fit on? Is dremeling the end off a bad idea or very bad idea?

use the 96+ gsr coolant tube and just remove it. they can't cost very much at the dealer. i might even have one downstairs.
Does the 96+ coolant tube just re-circulate it instead of sending to oil cooler? When I unscrew the oil cooler I'm hoping a regular plug is there for my adapter to screw onto.
