Default Is a b17 a good motor to turbo?

I've talked to a few of my friends and have heard mixed reviews. Ive heard that the b17 has the lowest compression out of all stock b series engines which is good for boost, while others have told me to just suck it up and buy an ls. I know that b18bs are great for boost, but I already have a b17 in my car that I picked up for cheap and im not trying to go through the hassle and money of swapping an ls after i just swapped in my b17. Im trying to work with what I already have. So as the title says, is a b17 a goo motor to turbo? i looking for around 275whp. Thanks alot

^^ According to this your comp is 9.3:1 which is a very good comp for a turbo. You should have no problem makin 275 on that engine with the right components and a good tune.

b17 are awesome little motors!! i would keep that over a ls (b18b) anyday!!

they rev awesome and make good power, all it is is a stroked b16

get some itr cams/valvetrain and 300+ is NO problem with a healthy motor
