97 Accord lx 4d, turbo problems.
Ok, About a month ago my timing belt broke. I replaced the timing belt.
Timing is spot on aswell.
Sent off the head, got the head back good as new with new valves and valve seals. After all that Started it up. Idle PERFECT, but.... when I drove it was weird.
It is a really hard to explain btw. So I got to thinkin, "****, I forgot to adjust the valves". Adjusted the valves. still with same problem. So then I thought about exhaust leak. Fixed the leak with a new manifold gasket. Still same problem. So I was stumped, checked compression 165-167 on all cylinders. So now I am thinking I might have a problem with the turbo and/or compressor side.
BTW, the car was running STRONG when the timing belt broke. Didnt seem to have ANY problems.
I wish I had a nice camera or something but I dont. But Ill do a little demo anyway.
The car used to sound like....(work with me here, I know it is dumb but anyway)
vvvvvvVVVVVRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSchi
Now it sounds like.... vrvrvrvrvrvvVVRRVRRRoomph
I have heard of people needing to change out the spring in the BOV, could this be a problem?
Dude I know I seem dumb but I am using the resources I have at my finger tips IE the keyboard. lol.
Any suggestions would be GREAT. thnx.
**Ninja edit.
The car still makes 6 pounds, just like it did before the timing belt shinanigans.

Re: 97 Accord lx 4d, turbo problems.
Anyone?
I just had an idea though.
I am going to replace the fuel filter. I am hoping its just some weird coincidence that my fuel filter became clogged right around the time my timing belt broke.

Re: 97 Accord lx 4d, turbo problems.
I just drove home from work.
I stopped by HONDA on the way home picked up a filter and I noticed it only acts "sluggesh" under mild to heavy acceleration about 60% or more throttle.
Does this sound like maybe a fuel filter problem?
Anyone?
